Nimbus Synergies Transforming Concussion Testing and Management through Investment in HeadCheck Health

Vancouver, British Columbia, August 15, 2018 – Nimbus Synergies, investor, partner, and mentor to British Columbia’s leading digital health companies, today announced that it has performed an extensive due diligence process and has announced the fifth company in its investment portfolio.

HeadCheck Health provides sports organizations with concussion testing software to enhance the implementation and management of their concussion policies. The Company’s mobile testing app, HeadCheck, available on iOS and Android, is customized to the organization’s policy requirements leading to faster and more data-driven assessments, while an enhanced web dashboard allows for easier and more thorough management of data. The Company also provides custom reporting to help organizations assess the execution of their policies and continuously improve their procedures to increase player safety.

“The devastating ramifications of concussion on athletes continues to be underappreciated and recent legislation, such as Rowan’s law in Canada and equivalent State-based legislation throughout the US, highlight the gravity of this. Nimbus is pleased to have led HeadCheck Health’s latest financing round, which was 50% oversubscribed and is excited to be partnered with a solutions leader in concussion testing and management technology,” explains Jason Robertson, Vice President of Investments for Nimbus Synergies Inc. “As a testament to its goal of improving concussion care at all levels of sport, HeadCheck Health recently announced partnerships with both BC Hockey and Rugby Ontario to enhance concussion testing standards for each organization. The company expects these marquee relationships to be part of a broader conversation about concussion and sport in Canada and internationally.”

In addition to BC Hockey and Rugby Ontario, the company currently works in partnership with organizations such as the BC Hockey League (BCHL), the University of British Columbia (UBC), BC Rugby, the Western Lacrosse Association (WLA), and many more.

“The whole team is excited about the opportunity of being a Nimbus Synergies investee. All athletes deserve a standardized level of concussion care and with this investment, we’ll be able to do more for athletes by improving concussion testing and management through the use of our technology at all levels of play.” said Harrison Brown, CEO of HeadCheck Health.
